Day of Free Dentistry for Local Nonprofit Employees
Giving back is an important part of our commitment to the community. Each year, our team provides a day of free dental services to employees of a local nonprofit organization that our team chooses. We’re honored to care for individuals who dedicate their time and talents to helping others. By supporting their oral health, we can show our appreciation, strengthen our community, and give back to those who work every day to make a difference.
2026 Day of Free Dentistry for Employees of Local Nonprofits
On September 24th, 2026, we hosted a day of free dentistry for employees of local nonprofits. This year, we treated employees of Hopelink—supporting those with food insecurity, Pasado’s Safe Haven—helping animals in need, and the Kirkland Performance Center—nurturing our own local performing arts community.
At our 2026 free dentistry day, we provided essential dental care to 27 people, donating $22,805 in services. Here are some event photos below!
Earth Appreciation Month
Each April, our team celebrates Earth Appreciation Month. For patients having major dental treatment during this time, we plant a tree in their honor in one of Washington’s national forests, with the goal of establishing a large grove. Hopelink Food Drive
This past December, our team volunteered with Hopelink to help collect and manage donations for their local food market. Since 1971, Hopelink has provided support programs for immigrants, refugees, and people experiencing poverty in North and East King County. Learn more about Hopelink and how to volunteer below!

Seattle/King County Dental Clinic
Everyone deserves access to quality dental care, and the Seattle/King County Dental Clinic makes that a reality for thousands of our neighbors who need it most. This organization provides free dental services to low-income and uninsured adults across our region, relying on the generosity of volunteer dental professionals and community supporters to keep its doors open. We are honored to volunteer with Compassion Washington, which shares our vision of building a community where everyone is valued and supported. Park Clean Up
Our team helped clean up Log Boom Park, a local Kenmore park that needed a clean sweep of noxious weeds, litter, and flotsam and jetsam!

Guatemala Dental Outreach
In 2004, Dr. Theron joined Northwest Medical Teams on a dental outreach trip to Guatemala to help those without routine access to dental services receive essential care, including fillings and oral surgery. He was part of a two-dentist, two-hygienist team that helped over 200 patients over five days.
Other Past Community Initiatives
A few years ago, our team sponsored the Kirkland Sno-King ice arena. Sno-King has three arena locations—Kirkland, Renton, and Snoqualmie. Each facility offers learn-to-skate classes, hockey, figure skating, parties, and leagues. We were also a local 4-H sponsor and annual donor to Physicians for Social Responsibility.
